Asian Pear & Snow White Fungus (Tremella) Soothing Soup
A traditional-style hydration soup to soothe the throat, lungs, and dry winter skin
This gentle, lightly sweet soup is especially comforting during colder months, when heating is on and the body feels dry from the inside out. It’s designed to restore moisture, soothe irritation, and help you glow from within — especially when simply drinking more water doesn’t seem to help.

Ingredients
- 2–3 Asian pears, peeled and cut into chunks
- Snow white fungus (tremella), soaked 20 minutes, core removed, torn into small snipplets
- 3 carrots, peeled and chopped
- ½–1 lb spare ribs, washed and blanched
- A handful of goji berries
- 1–2 litres water
Method
- Soak the snow white fungus for 20 minutes, remove the hard core, and cut or tear into small pieces.
- Blanch the spare ribs briefly, then rinse clean.
- Add all ingredients to a large pot with 1–2 litres of water.
- Bring to a rolling boil on high heat for 20 minutes.
- Reduce to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Serve warm. The soup should be lightly sweet, clean, and soothing.
Five Benefits of Asian Pears
- Deep hydration – High water content helps replenish fluids in dry conditions.

- Cooling and gentle – Balances internal heat caused by radiators, stress, or illness.
Five Benefits of Snow White Fungus (Tremella)
- Exceptional moisture retention – Helps the body hold onto hydration, not just intake it.
- Skin-plumping effect – Often compared to natural hyaluronic acid for inner glow.
- Supports lungs & digestion – Moistens dryness internally, especially in winter.
- Immune-supportive polysaccharides – Helps strengthen overall resilience.
- Gentle and nourishing – Ideal for long-term hydration without heaviness.
Why They’re Powerful Together in Soup
- Asian pear adds fluid and cooling moisture
- Tremella locks that moisture into the body
- Together, they help:
- Soothe dry throat and lungs
- Relieve winter dryness (dry lips, skin, mouth)
- Improve internal hydration when water alone isn’t enough
- Promote a soft, radiant glow from the inside out
This is the kind of soup that quietly heals, perfect for cold weather, recovery days, or anytime your body feels dry, tired, or inflamed.
